Your First Visit

Here at Sadler and Ryan Orthodontics, we are always excited about meeting new patients during their first visit to our office. Upon walking into our office, you will be greeted by smiling faces and a warm cup of coffee or hot chocolate- your choice! Your kids can enjoy their time in our fun and exciting arcade with free games while they are waiting for their appointment to begin. This initial appointment will consist of complimentary records (photos and X-rays), a thorough exam and a discussion of potential treatment options along with our in-house financial options and low down payment plans. This important 60-minute visit will give us insight into your orthodontic needs. We know your time is valuable, so if our doctors recommend treatment, we can usually go ahead and get you started that same day if you like!

Orthodontics for All Ages

According to the American Association of Orthodontists, children should have an initial orthodontic screening at age seven. It’s important to recognize that early evaluation isn’t necessarily followed by early treatment. In most cases, we simply monitor your child’s growth patterns and intervene only if needed. Doing this allows us to get the best results and prevent future problems.

There are several reasons why adolescence is often the optimal time for orthodontic treatment. One of which is the development of the teeth. Patients between the ages of 11-13 have lost most or all their baby teeth and their permanent teeth have come in. This means we can go to work correcting the problems that cause a bad bite (malocclusion), improper tooth spacing, or poor alignment while getting long-term and precise results.

Fixed Braces

Typically made of medical-grade stainless steel, metal braces remain the most common type of fixed orthodontic appliance. Time-tested metal braces remain popular because they offer an effective and economical treatment option. In contrast to past appliances, today’s braces are smaller, lighter, and more comfortable. Choose colorful elastics if you want a fun and funky look.

Clear ceramic braces are a new variation of the traditional system, providing a far less noticeable treatment method. They use the same components as traditional braces — except the brackets are made from a translucent ceramic material that blends in with the tooth’s natural color. This system has become a favorite for adults and older teens alike, primarily because it’s hard to notice they’re even there!

Invisalign Clear Aligners

Patients of all ages can benefit from using Invisalign removable aligners to achieve a straighter, healthier, and more beautiful smile.
